The process is the same for a professional athlete as it is for anyone else. However; our online clients who are unable to travel to PHASE IV will be instructed in a home field test to calculate an approximate starting point for all nutrition and heart rate exercise.

Why Metabolic Testing

Scientific metabolic testing is the foundation of exercise and nutrition science. This testing lets us see what is happening inside your body during exercise and at rest; and at what rate your body uses fat, the preferred energy source to fuel your body.
As exercise intensity increases so does your heart rate. As your heart rate increases your body’s preferred energy source shifts from primarily burning fat to burning carbohydrate. By training in the proper zone you will teach or reengineer your body to burn more fat and less carbohydrate, lowering lactic acid levels, cortisol, and fatigue.
