Matt Larkin, PHASE IV Exercise Specialist

BICEPS CURLS

While there is a virtually limitless amount of exercises you can perform to strengthen your body’s muscles, a select few are very popular. Among those popular exercises is the biceps curl, which targets — as the name suggests — the biceps brachii muscle. Strengthening this particular muscle group is widely popular for the aesthetic of muscular, toned arms. Aside from aesthetics alone, working the biceps muscle has many functional purposes as well.

The action of flexing your arm at the elbow joint is one you perform countless times each day, from picking up a suitcase to pulling a lawn mower starter cable or even picking up a child. The biceps curl is important because it can make these daily tasks easier.

In this video we show you how do do the Biceps Curls using the FTS Quad Loop Resistance Band. The quad loops offer an effective way to burn calories, build strength and improve tone, flexibility and postures, all while protecting your joints.

P.S. Don’t forget to join Matt at PHASE IV every Tuesday and Thursday at 12:15pm for a 50-minute FTS Quad Loops class that will strengthen, tone and burn calories!
