SWIM STROKE ANALYSIS

Regardless of which sport or exercise activity you practice, developing proper technique is paramount for injury prevention, optimal performance, and sustainability of your training. At PHASE IV we utilize computer video analysis to dissect your current technique for mechanical flaws and deviations. These can be so subtle they cannot be appreciated by the human eye at real-time speed. Your team of PHASE IV coaches, Biomechanists, and Physical Therapists will examine function at every joint while performing sport specific movements and plan corrective prescription exercises and drills to perfect your technique.

DRILLS TO IMPROVE MECHANICS

PHASE IV coaches know how to improve the efficiency of your stroke and kick to increase speed. To swim faster, you need to re-program your neurological system to contract your muscles faster and increase your cadence (also known as turnover). On land and in water using Forster Training Systems© resistance techniques you will perfect your mechanics and move your legs and arms faster with greater power. Through the measurement of joint angles and appraisal of bio-mechanical deviations while in motion, PHASE IV professionals can detect imbalances which impact your performance and lead straight to injuries. With drills to correct your swimming stroke and leg kick you will improve your swim mechanics and performance by efficiently increasing your power output and stamina, and prevent common swimming injuries.

PHASE IV WATERPOWER© PERFORMANCE

The PHASE IV WATERPOWER© PERFORMANCE PROGRAM is the same training program we used to bring Allyson Felix from her season ending injury to Gold Medals in the 2016 Rio Olympics! Working against water’s natural resistance makes for a healthier more balanced workout than is possible on land, with virtually no risk of damage to the body. For both exercise programs as well as rehabilitation, pool workouts build aerobic and anaerobic fitness, muscle strength and tone, flexibility, good body alignment and agility. The PHASE IV Waterpower Performance Program© can be conducted either in our private facility, your home, or other location.
