Robert Forster PT, is Founder and CEO of Forster Physical Therapy and the Phase IV Scientific Health and Performance Center in Santa Monica, Ca. For over 43 years he and his staff have served the physical therapy needs of 3 generations of local families and his two facilities have been an international destination for competitive athletes across the spectrum of sport.

Robert has authored two best-selling books. The Complete Waterpower Workout Book and Healthy Running, Step by Step and he created the Herbalife Fit24 video fitness series. He has designed a line of exercise and recovery products featured in retail stores worldwide. He served on the CIF medical staff for the California State Wrestling tournament for 10 years and is a performance consultant for the USA Olympic Wrestling Team.

Ron Berry, PT

Master Physical Therapist / Director of Water Rehabilitation

Ron grew up in Santa Monica. He worked with Bob Forster as an aide during the 1984 Olympics. After attending Santa Monica City College, Loyola Marymount (on a music scholarship), and UC Santa Cruz (where he fostered his love of bicycling, big trees, and massage) , he went to Cal State Long Beach for Physical Therapy school and began his career as a licensed physical therapist in 1990. He’s worked in various communities in Maine, South Carolina, and California, including: Seal Beach, Long Beach, and Oakland.He has been working with Forster Physical Therapy since 1996 developing experience over many thousands of physical therapy visits, honing his skills as a manual therapist and teacher of efficient movement.He has been a part of the PHASE IV team since it’s inception and has been an integral part of developing many of the PHASE IV scientific health and performance programs, programs he’s utilized himself as an avid recreational athlete in a variety of sports.

Brian Ponsness, PTA

Exercise and Rehab Specialist

Brian is a graduate of Pima Medical Institute in Seattle, Washington. After graduating in 2010 Brian joined the Forster Physical Therapy and Phase IV team of practitioners. Brian is an avid cyclist and adventure sport enthusiast.
